A LOOK INSIDE

our STUDIO SPACE

Set within a repurposed 19th‐century metal works school, Schneid Studio unfolds as an unexpected haven of creative exploration. The industrial past, once a vibrant school for metal, now lives on through carefully curated spaces: a sunlit ceramic studio where the new Facet tableware series, a bold yet refined exploration of color, is crafted with precision; a dedicated workshop where our skilled team shapes delicate objects; a first-floor ceramic studio where the sculptural Kaskad lamp, made entirely in-house, takes form in smooth, raw-textured curves; a lively woodwork area; a versatile photo studio that captures the essence of each creation; and an office where ideas evolve into tangible design.

At the heart of this creative sanctuary are founders Julia Jessen and Niklas Jessen, whose vision for sustainable, mindful design transforms every corner of the studio. Their hands-on approach is evident in the meticulous selection of naturally sourced materials and in the close exchange with skilled craftspeople, both within their own workshops and in collaboration with select German manufacturers. For them, design is a personal narrative: a dialogue between the organic beauty of nature and the refined art of contemporary craftsmanship.

The studio’s spaces exude a layered storytelling reminiscent of a well-curated film set. Here, soft light and shadows play upon surfaces, each detail hinting at the legacy of a bygone era while embracing a bold, modern sensibility. The interplay of muted earth tones and vibrant accents invites one to pause and savor the tactile experience of every object: a Junit lamp, its modular and playful design making it a favorite in architectural projects worldwide, its award-winning form a testament to Schneid’s intuitive approach to shape and color; the Kaskad lamp, radiating warmth and craftsmanship from the hands that mold it; the tactile pleasure of the Facet tableware series, elevating the everyday act of dining.

At Schneid Studio, every piece is more than a product; it is a testament to a philosophy that values authenticity, sustainability, and the art of living thoughtfully. Julia and Niklas have reimagined not only a historic building but also the very act of design, transforming it into an immersive journey where ethical artistry meets the enduring beauty of nature. This layered narrative, where past and present coalesce in a celebration of mindful consumerism, offers a fresh perspective on what it means to create with purpose.
