Summer notes from the studio: Spaces of Calm & What Lies Ahead

Summer notes from the studio:

Spaces of Calm &

What Lies Ahead

As the summer unfolds, we find ourselves drawn to the calm that this season brings. A time marked by slowness, extended light, and the quiet presence of materials in space. These moments of stillness, both rare and restorative, continue to shape the way we think about design: not as something to fill space, but as something that supports it — something that holds, accompanies, and quietly anchors.

In recent months, we’ve been working intensively behind the scenes on a new lighting project — one that deepens our exploration of material expression, modular language, and spatial atmosphere. While this new piece is still taking shape, its essence is already present in the way we’ve been thinking about interiors this summer: imagined spaces that speak through natural textures, sculptural elements, and restrained composition. These scenes are less about product and more about presence — about how light, form, and function meet in stillness and in rhythm.

As we move into the heart of summer, we wish you a restorative and inspiring break, whether you’re stepping away or staying close to home. We’re already looking ahead to what’s next: our participation in the Venice Design Biennial this September and the unfolding of several architectural collaborations where our objects will begin to inhabit space at a larger scale. Until then, thank you for being part of our journey and for sharing in the quiet values that guide our work.
